March 2013 doesn’t seem to have as many books as January and February did but that doesn’t mean they’re any less amazing. I’m already stocking up on Kleenex to handle all the feels from Requiem and Clockwork Princess. I’m also ready to lose myself in a new science fiction series and induldge the magical realism bug I’ve been bitten by. 2013 seems to be all about variety so I’m certain there will be something for everybody.
The Conspiracy of Alchemists by Liesel Schwarz. Del Rey. March 5 2013
Two words – alchemists and warlocks! Not enough? Try Magical apocoalypse.

The Demonologist by Andrew Pyper. Simon & Schuster. March 5 2013
This one sounds very Da Vinci Code like but with a focus on Paradise Lost instead of The Bible. I’ve heard so many great things about this literary horror novel!

The Holders by Julianna Scott. Strange Chemistry. March 5 2013
I am having the best luck with Strange Chemistry titles lately! And now they’re tackling my favourite genre!

Let the Sky Fall by Shannon Messenger. Simon Pulse. March 5 2013
I’ve heard this described as the tornado kissing book and I love that description. I’ve ordered my copy already and I have to admit I check every day to see if it’s shipped.

The Nightmare Affair by Mindee Arnett. Tor. March 5 2013
Cover love!! Seriously, I almost don’t care what this book is about. I just want to read it because of how gorgeous it is. But I do care – and thankfully a Nightmare boarding school sounds AMAZING.

The Blue Book by A L Kennedy. Houghton Mifflin Harcourt. March 12 2013
A story of an elaborate con game perpetrated by two fake pyschics. This book has already been released in the UK and the word from across the pond is good!

Mila 2.0 by Debra Driza. Katherine Tegen Books. March 12 2013
Since a lot of my series are ending this year I’ve head my eyes peeled for some new ones. Mila 2.0 caught my eye during an Epic Reads Tea Time and I’m excited to get some more sci fi back into my life.

Poison by Bridget Zinn. Hyperion. March 12 2013
I am loving the female assassin trend in fantasy right now! And I think Poison will be neat with the added poison master twist. I also recommend you check out the Tumblr for the book, which pays homage to the late Bridget Zinn.

Strands of Bronze and Gold by Jane Nickerson. Random House. March 12 2013
Bluebeard retelling!! I am addicted to fairy tale retellings and with the exception of Fables I don’t think I’ve ever read one about Bluebeard.

The Palace of Curiosities by Rosie Garland. Harper Collins. March 28 2013
I’ve recently got really into magical realism and the lovely people at Harper Collins Canada pointed me towards this upcoming book. It sounds fascinating and I can’t wait to read it.

I’m very excited for Requiem and Clockwork Princess! I think they’ll both be wonderful.
I just finished Deep Betrayal and thought it wasn’t as good as the first one in the series, but still not bad.
Thanks for sharing!
So looking forward to Clockwork Princess! Trying to wait patiently for my pre-order to arrive!
I’m curious about the Conspiracy of Alchemists (although I think I love the cover more than I’d like the contents, LOL) — if my library gets it in, I may try it.
I’d like to read The Nightmare Affair (I’ve heard great great things!) and Strands of Bronze and Gold!
The Nightmare Affiar and Strands of Bronze and Gold are what I’m currently reading. I’m really enjoying both of them!
Yay, the Runaway King is out! I love this series! I ordered Mila 2.0 and Let the Sky Fall as well, so excited to read both of them!!
I am so excited for The Runaway King – The False Prince was SO good! Can’t wait to hear your thoughts on Mila 2.0!
